Tools for checking text originality
We present AI tools suitable for checking the originality of text.
TURNITIN
Turnitin is a tool to detect similarities and plagiarism in academic texts. It works on the principle of comparing submitted works with a database of existing texts, which includes Internet sources, scholarly publications, and student works. The check output is a Similarity Report, which visually shows the degree of similarity with other sources and allows you to identify potentially problematic passages.
Turnitin uses artificial intelligence to analyse the text and offers AI-generated text detection.
Turnitin helps increase transparency in the evaluation of written works. In addition to detecting similarities, it offers feedback and assessment tools and provides teachers with a comprehensive environment for teaching, checking and developing academic writing.
The involvement of a human factor is always necessary during evaluation, as it is the human factor that will assess the relevance of the similarity.
